1990
Amy Hubert led the team as the Most Outstanding Runner for 1990. Amy placed 49th at the state meet. Earning All-Metro honors were: Amy Hubert, Julie Micholas, Kate Petri, Jen Locastro, Nicole Horvath, and Lynn Schwer. Kathy Shufesky earned honorable mention All-Metro. Kate Petri had also finished 2nd at the district championship. The team won the Metro title, the Section 1 title, the District 10 title, and finished with a 9-0 record.
1991
After losing the first two dual meets, the team won 7 meets in a row, winning the Metro title in the process. The team finished 1st in the Section Championship and finished 4th at districts. Nicole Horvath was the team MVP and Laura Green was the most improved runner.
1992
The girls cross country team finished their season with the Section 1, Metro, and District 10 titles, as well as a 15th place finish at the state meet. The team improved due to the large team size of 46 runners. Nicole Horvath led the team at the state meet with a 53rd place finish.
1993
Kathy Shufesky was named the Outstanding Runner of 1993 as she placed 70th at the state meet. She also finished 9th at districts. The team has now won 37 consecutive Metro dual meets since 1987. Along with Shufesky on the All-Metro team were: Melinda Brown, Jill Duncombe, Ashley Hansen, Kelli Burton. Kerry Hankson, Terry Mangin, and Jessica Hirsh earned honorable mention All-Metro.
1994
Led by Melinda Brown, the team won both the Metro and District 10 titles. She also placed 82nd at the state meet. Earning All-Metro honors were: Melinda Brown, Ashley Hansesn, Katie Geib, Jill Duncombe, and Terry Mangin. Earning honorable mention were: Jessica Hirsh, Jen Borowy, Kristen Massing, and Lea Picheco.
1995
Katie Geib led the team with a 66th place finish at the state meet. She was named the Outstanding Runner of 1995. The team won both the Metro, Section 1, and District 10 titles, and improved on their finish from last year at states to finish 15th. Leanne Krause, a freshman, had the highest finish ever at the state meet for a freshman. The previous record was Kathy Shufesky, who placed 176th in 1990.
1968
The 1968 cross country team had 19 new runners, but still managed a successful season with 9 wins and only 2 losses. The team won the Central Catholic Invitational, took 2nd at Section 1, lost districts to Strong Vincent, and placed 6th at the state meet. The team was led by All-State runner, and captain, Jon Bannister, and captain Jay Pratt, who finished 10th at districts. Bannister finished 12th at the state meet to tie the highest finish ever by a McDowell runner.
1969
1996
The 1996 team was led by Ashley Hansen, who finished 3rd at districts and 91st at states. Jessica DiLoreto, a freshman, finished 5th at districts, and won the Section 1 Championship. She went on to have the highest finish ever at the state meet for a freshman, placing 101st. Leanne Krause had the previous record from 1995 at 125th place. Carrie Fabin, and Valerie Biebel also led the team. The team won their 9th consecutive Metro title, their 7th consecutive Section 1 title, and their 3rd straight District 10 title.
1997
1998
The 1997 girls’ team won their 10th consecutive Metro title, their 8th consecutive Section 1 title. At the district meet, the girls finished 2nd to Warren, but still qualified 5 runners to the state meet. Earning All-Metro honors were: Hillary Rectenwald, Jessica DiLoreto, Mindy Gorniak, Leanne Krause, Amy Zimmerman, Jenna Cummings, and Alison Haggerty. Steph Montgomery and Kristen Combs were named honorable mention All-Metro.
The 1998 girls’ team won their 11th consecutive Metro title that included their 59th consecutive win in Metro League dual meets. Named to the All-Metro team were: Sasha Dombeck, Jenna Cummings, Alison Haggerty, Steph Montgomery, Leanne Krause, Hillary Rectenwald, and Amy Zimmerman. Christina Keck was the runner of the year, who placed 68th at the state meet.
1999
The 1999 girls won the Metro and Sectional titles again under new coach Joe Sanford. The team was led by Jenny Duncomb. Making the All-Metro team were Jenna Cummings, Sasha Dombeck, Alison Haggerty, Jessica Knapp, Katie Dobson, Mindy Gorniak, Michelle Raymond, Lindsay Wallis, Jenny Duncomb, Stephanie Strub, and Rachel Bliley.
